“Quite frankly, we see a pathway to this being a stand-alone product given the current status of online dating–traditional or married,” Keable said. First , I’d like to say that any positive reviews are most likely fake. I’ve signed up on this ap twice, thinking I’d give it a second chance and both times were disappointments.
Or, I don’t know, just asking too much of him, like I was saying, Hey, I’m an actual person, look at me, look at my dog, and maybe he didn’t want that? I felt awful. I deleted my Ashley Madison app. I deleted all his messages. I felt like I couldn’t even succeed at cheating.
Even though there are many unknowns about the hack, analysts were able to draw some important conclusions that should be taken into account by any company that stores sensitive information. These were some of the reasons why the hacking group decided to ‘punish’ the company. A punishment that has cost Ashley Madison nearly $30 million in fines, improved security measures and damages. Following the Ashley Madison attack, hacking group ‘The Impact Team’ sent a message to the site’s owners threatening them and criticizing the company’s bad faith. However, the site didn’t give in to the hackers’ demands and these responded by releasing the personal details of thousands of users.

It could happen again, according to cybersecurity firm Kromtech — and this time with regular people. “In the case of Ashley Madison, which is reported has 1.2m subscribers in the UK alone, if each were to try to claim for £1,000 in compensation Ashley Madison could see itself incurring costs of up to £1.2bn. Even if claims for distress in this case are modest, the sheer volume of data breached and individuals affected in this attack could have a critical impact on the company. But the email database is questionable.
So what is Ashley Madison? AshleyMadison was launched in 2001 as a destination for people in committed relationships and marriage to find partners for an affair.

Ashley Madison, or The Ashley Madison Agency, is a Canadian online dating service and social networking service marketed to people who are married or in relationships. On 18th and 20th of August, the group leaked more than 25 gigabytes of company data, including user details.
The Impact Team announced the attack on 15 July 2015 and threatened to expose the identities of Ashley Madison’s users if its parent company, Avid Life Media, did not shut down Ashley Madison and its sister site, “Established Men”.
